Nuceria IPTV Player Chrome extension · Privacy-first, local-first
Privacy policy

Your data stays
under your control.

Nuceria IPTV Player is designed to play and manage supported public IPTV sources and sources configured directly by the user. Most configuration and cache data stays inside the browser.

Last updated: · Applies to version 1.0.1

In short: no developer analytics, no advertising trackers, no sale of user data, and no upload of your playlists or Xtream credentials to developer-operated servers.

1. Data stored locally

The extension may store the following information in your browser in order to provide its features:

  • interface settings and preferences;
  • source profiles and the active source;
  • M3U/M3U8 playlist URLs and XMLTV/EPG URLs;
  • Xtream server address and username;
  • favorites, recent channels and the last selected channel;
  • playlist, metadata and EPG caches;
  • local channel availability results.

A user-provided playlist may itself contain URLs with tokens or access parameters. These values remain in browser-local storage/cache and are not sent to developer-operated infrastructure.

Xtream passwords are stored in chrome.storage.session, not in chrome.storage.local or IndexedDB playlist caches. You may need to enter the password again after the browser session ends.

2. Network connections and third parties

To perform its core function, Nuceria IPTV Player connects directly from your browser to the services required by the source you select or configure. These may include:

  • supported public preset providers;
  • playlist and XMLTV/EPG URLs configured by you or declared by a playlist;
  • public IPTV-org APIs used by the IPTV-org preset;
  • EPGShare when a preset uses its public guide files;
  • your configured Xtream provider;
  • servers and CDNs hosting streams, manifests, media segments and logos referenced by those sources.

Those third-party servers receive the normal information required for a network request, such as your IP address, requested URL and HTTP headers. Xtream credentials are sent only to the Xtream server that you configure when they are required to authenticate and access that account.

Nuceria IPTV Player does not send your playlists, credentials, favorites, recent channels or viewing history to a server operated by the developer.

3. HTTP and HTTPS

Nuceria supports both HTTP and HTTPS sources because some user-configured providers and playlists still use HTTP. The extension does not downgrade an HTTPS source to HTTP.

Security note: if you deliberately configure an HTTP endpoint, traffic to that provider is not encrypted by the HTTP protocol. Use HTTPS whenever it is available, especially for sources that require credentials or tokens.

4. Channel availability checks

Availability checks are performed directly by your browser against source URLs. The extension does not upload your playlist to an external stream-checking service and does not create a profile of your general web browsing.

5. Data the developer does not collect

Nuceria IPTV Player does not include:

  • developer-operated analytics or telemetry;
  • advertising SDKs or tracking pixels;
  • collection of your general browsing history;
  • generic content scripts that read pages you visit;
  • a developer backend receiving personal playlists or Xtream credentials;
  • sale or sharing of user data for advertising, profiling or data brokerage.

6. Retention and deletion

Local settings, source profiles and caches remain in the browser until you remove them, clear the relevant cache, or uninstall the extension. Xtream passwords stored in chrome.storage.session are tied to the browser session.

You can remove personal sources and clear local caches from the extension's Options page. Uninstalling the extension removes extension-local data according to Chrome's storage behavior.

7. Host permissions

The extension requests broad HTTP/HTTPS host access because user-selected playlists, Xtream servers, EPG files, redirects and media CDNs can be hosted on domains that cannot be known before installation. This access is used for the disclosed IPTV functionality, not to read your ordinary web browsing.

8. Security and remote code

Nuceria IPTV Player uses Chrome Manifest V3 and a restrictive extension Content Security Policy. It does not load or execute remote JavaScript. Remote playlists, XMLTV guides and API responses are processed as data.

URLs that resolve to HTML pages, remote web players or unsupported data payloads are rejected by the stream resolver instead of being executed as code.

9. Chrome Web Store Limited Use

Nuceria IPTV Player limits its use of user data to the product features described to users. Its use of user data complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

10. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated if the extension's features or data practices change. The current revision date is shown at the top of this page.
